Teaching Portfolio

Design is for Everyone / I believe that design is a fundamental intelligence that needs to be taught and learned by everyone. Design is at the core of our experience. Every structure we have been in, device that we have used, or system we are a part of is designed by someone. In all aspects of our experience, a person thought about what would be the best way and implemented it. Design is so fundamental in our lives, I believe that everyone needs design training, not just designers but even consumers. We as a society should find a way to train and teach everyday people how to be a consumer. Consumption is the market driving our design decisions, and in many ways, our consumption is primal. We need a sophisticated way to consume. We need to understand that consumption tells a story of who we are. We should intentionally design our consumer life to lead to better results for ourselves personally.
